Arizona authorities say Mike Tyson will not have his probation revoked in the state after Los Angeles prosecutors decided not to charge him in an airport scuffle.

Zach Dal Pra, chief deputy of the Maricopa County Adult Probation Department, said Thursday his office would have to show evidence of a newer crime to revoke Tyson’s probation.

Arizona authorities said after Tyson’s Nov. 11 arrest in Los Angeles that they were watching the case to see if the former boxer should be sent to jail for violating probation in a 2007 drug case.

Los Angeles prosecutors said Thursday they found insufficient evidence to charge Tyson and photographer Tony Echeverria. Both were arrested at Los Angeles International Airport after a scuffle in which each claimed they were struck by the other.
